Nat Hayden's BBQ, located in Windsor, CT, first opened in 2009 and was named after Nathaniel Hayden, one of the original settlers of Windsor in 1633. His grandson Captain Nathaniel Hayden was a Revolutionary War hero, born in 1738. The name of the restaurant evokes the rich history of Windsor while the food evokes the rich tradition of barbeque.
The restaurant features a unique variety of Southern and other regional American barbeque styles, borrowing from the best of every type of barbeque for a combination of barbeque flavors. That's why we call it pan-Southern. We use hickory, apple and cherry wood to produce the sweet, smoky character of our barbequed meats. The atmosphere is comfortable and low key. We truly serve Down Home Food for Down Home Folks.
Nat Hayden's Barbeque offers our customers a choice: dining in our 56 seat restaurant, ordering takeout or catering for pick-up or delivery. Or bring our barbecue to your back yard with our new mobile smoker. Our restaurant is full service with friendly servers to make customers feel like part of our family. The chef operates a scratch kitchen which means that all of our menu items are made in-house with the finest, freshest, highest quality ingredients.
The restaurant is open 7 days a week, Sunday and Monday from 11 AM to 8PM; Tuesday through Saturdays from 11AM to 9PM for dine-in and takeout. We specialize in catering on any day. The restaurant is closed on all major holidays. To complement our BBQ menu, the restaurant serves wine, American bottled beer and American craft beers on tap changing them periodically as new craft beers become available.
Sunday:: Cool down with $2.50 bottled beer
Monday: Whole Chicken Dinner for two with 2 double sides, 2 cups of soup or salad and cornbread all for $29.95
Tuesday: Fried Catfish and a Crab cake with Fries and Cole Slaw, a cup of Gumbo and cornbread all for $22.95
Wednesday: Yippee, Kids Eat Free!!! (8 years old and under)
Thursday: Buy one full rack of our St. Louis Pork Rib dinner and get the second full rack dinner for 1/2 price

Stop in and try them all with our Local Brew Tasting Flight, giving you a glass of 4 different beers so you can decide which one you like best! Natￏs also serves your favorite American bottled beer and Coors Light on tap. Nat's plans to rotate our craft beers more often. Hopefully this website will be up to date.
